Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Job Summary:

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves implementing, managing, and troubleshooting network security solutions across various platforms including Fortinet. The specialist will also handle network access control, VPN solutions, and other security EPP and DLP Services to protect the organization's data and network.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Security Management:

• Implement and manage security measures across network devices ( Fortinet, Cisco NAC (ISE), ERD+EPP (Tend micro) and DLP (Trellix)).
• Configure and maintain Network Address Translation (NAT), Access Control Lists (ACL), high availability solutions, context-based security, and clustering.
• Manage and monitor security policies and procedures to protect network infrastructure.

Network Access Control (NAC):

• Implement and manage NAC solutions including Authentication, Authorization, and ISE Profiling.
• Handle Dot1x, MAB (MAC Authentication Bypass), and TACACS+ for network authentication.
• Monitor and manage access control to ensure compliance with security policies.

VPN Management:

• Configure and maintain various VPN solutions including Site to Site VPN, Remote Access VPN, DMVPN, GETVPN, SSL VPN, GRE, and GRE over IPSEC.
• Manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to ensure secure communication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve VPN-related issues to ensure seamless connectivity.

Endpoint Security (EPP) and Data Loss/Leakage Protection.:

• Implement and manage Endpoint Security (EPP) and Data Loss/Leakage Protection in campus network.
• Ensure network policies and configurations are consistently applied across the network.

Incident Response and Troubleshooting:

• Respond to network security incidents and perform thorough investigations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on network security status, incidents, and remediation activities.
• Provide recommendations for improving network security based on analysis and findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of [4] years of experience in network security.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Fortinet,
• Experience with NAC solutions including ISE Profiling, Dot1x, MAB, and TACACS+.
• Proficient in configuring and managing various VPN solutions.
• Familiarity Endpoint Security (EPP), Data Loss/leakage protection.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE-4 or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with network security in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of emerging security trends and technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
