Mep Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities of an MEP Engineer:

1. Manage MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects from conception to completion.

2. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

3. Implement and oversee HVAC systems and other MEP components in building projects.

4. Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

5. Monitor energy efficiency and sustainability measures in projects.

6. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that work meets specified standards.

7. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of MEP systems.

8. Prepare technical documentation and reports for internal and external use.

9. Review and coordinate technical drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.

10. Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure project timelines and standards are met.

11. Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support during construction.

12. Monitor and manage project budgets and timelines.

13. Liaise with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective project integration.

14. Ensure safety protocols are followed in all MEP-related activities.

15. Develop and implement energy-efficient and cost-effective MEP solutions.

16. Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for projects.

17. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for MEP systems and projects.

18. Provide training and support to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications And Skills

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

2. 7-10 years of experience in MEP project management

3. Proficient in AutoCAD and project management tools

4. Knowledge of building codes and energy efficiency standards
