Senior Analyst - Enterprise SaaS - Delhi

A. About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst-Enterprise SaaS to join our team, specializing in the Indian power sector. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in machine learning algorithm development, financial modeling, and energy portfolio management. Additionally, expertise in backend development using Python and R, advanced visualization techniques with Python, Tableau, and Power BI, and database management is required. The key responsibilities of this role will include the following:

B. Job Responsibilities:

1. Machine Learning & Algorithm Development:

• Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models for forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization within the energy sector.
• Utilize Python, R, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and other libraries to build robust models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into production environments.

2. Backend Development:

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python, R, and Flask/Django frameworks to support data processing, model deployment, and analytics.
• Implement RESTful APIs and micro services for seamless data integration.
• Ensure robust data pipelines using tools like Airflow, Luigi, or similar.

3. Financial Modelling & Energy Portfolio Management:

• Build and maintain financial models using Python, R, and Excel to assess and manage energy portfolios, risk assessment, and investment strategies.
• Analyze market trends, regulatory impacts, and economic factors influencing the Indian power sector using advanced statistical techniques.

4. Advanced Visualization Techniques:

• Develop insightful and interactive visualizations using Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn), Tableau, and Power BI to support decision-making and stakeholder communication.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports that monitor key performance indicators and model outputs.

5. Database Management:

• Manage and optimize large-scale databases using SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra), and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure).
• Design and implement data storage solutions tailored to energy sector data.

6. Domain Expertise:

• Leverage deep knowledge of the Indian power sector, including regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and industry trends.
• Provide insights and recommendations to guide strategic initiatives and operations in the energy domain.

C. Education and Experience

1. Qualifications:

• Masters in Electrical, Energy Engineering, or related fields.
• 4+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and backend development, with a focus on the energy sector.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and advanced visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of financial modelling, energy markets, and portfolio management.
• Extensive experience with database management and large-scale data systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Indian energy policies, regulations, and market operations.

2. Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Dask).

2. Proficiency in data engineering and ETL processes.

3. Advanced knowledge of statistical methods and their application in energy analytics.

4. Expertise in time series analysis and forecasting techniques.

5. Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

6. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

7. Understanding of block chain technology in energy trading.

8. Experience with GIS data and spatial analysis.

9. Familiarity with optimization techniques for energy management.

10. Strong background in numerical analysis and simulation models.
