Manager - Risk Analyst (5-7 yrs)

Job Overview:

The Risk Analyst Manager is responsible for overseeing the risk management function within the organization, identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks that could impact business operations, financial performance, and reputation.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of leading a team of risk analysts while working cross-functionally to ensure the company's risk management processes align with its overall business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Identification & Assessment:

- Lead and oversee the identification and assessment of potential risks across various business functions (financial, operational, compliance, strategic).

- Conduct in-depth risk assessments and scenario analysis to evaluate the potential impact of identified risks.

- Develop risk models and forecasting tools to anticipate future risk trends and their potential consequences.

Risk Mitigation & Control Development:

- Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize or eliminate risks to the organization.

- Ensure the development of robust internal controls and recommend corrective actions for identified risks.

- Coordinate with business units to ensure risk mitigation measures are effectively implemented.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Manage and mentor a team of risk analysts, ensuring continuous skill development, performance management, and alignment with departmental objectives.

- Provide guidance on complex risk-related issues and support the team in executing risk assessments and reports.

Risk Reporting & Communication:

- Prepare and present regular reports on risk findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders.

- Ensure risk reports are clear, concise, and data-driven to inform decision-making processes at all levels of the organization.

- Act as a key point of contact for communicating risk-related concerns across departments.

Compliance & Regulatory Requirements:

- Ensure that risk management activities comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and corporate policies.

- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and emerging risk trends, ensuring the company adapts to changes in the regulatory landscape.

Risk Monitoring & Reporting Systems:

- Oversee the continuous monitoring of risks to ensure that mitigation measures remain effective and relevant.

- Implement and manage risk monitoring systems, dashboards, and tools to provide real-time insights into risk exposure.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

- Work closely with departments such as finance, legal, compliance, operations, and IT to address and manage risks across the organization.

- Provide risk insights and recommendations for strategic projects and initiatives.

Crisis Management & Contingency Planning:

- Develop and support crisis management and business continuity plans to prepare for unforeseen events and mitigate their impact on operations.

- Conduct regular stress tests and scenario planning to ensure preparedness for potential risk events.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g.,, FRM, PRM) is preferred.

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in risk analysis or risk management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

- Experience in financial risk management, operational risk, or enterprise risk management.

- Proven track record of leading risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and reporting.

Skills & Abilities:

- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.

- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to assess and interpret complex data.

- Proficiency in risk management software and tools (e.g.,, SAS, RiskWatch, or similar platforms).

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk information to non-experts
