Job Description: The Manager will combine strong technical experience with business acumen to facilitate the most effective development of business solutions. The Manager will guide technical teams during support, development, and solution delivery. The Manager will work closely with business, architecture, and technical teams to determine staffing needs, assign resources as required, and ensure the successful completion of projects with the highest quality and standards applied for both cloud and non-cloud applications. The Manager will be responsible for enabling the continued career development of the team and ensuring the team is positioned to support new technologies and development approaches as necessary. The Manager will be seen as a practice leader for software development at Medline. Responsibilities: Coach and mentor team members to enable personal and professional growth Provide technical leadership to software development teams Promote a positive culture of engagement, collaboration, professionalism, and accountability Manage all facets of staffing, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, supervision, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions Ensure the team delivers on commitments with quality and efficiency Curate an agile, responsive work environment that delivers software while balancing time, cost, and scope Collaborate with other leaders to define solutions, best practices, and architectural patterns Support robust change and configuration management practices Assist in managing relationships with technology vendors and service integrators Support the development of business cases, justifications, and cost-benefit analysis for IS spend Define and promote digital workplace initiatives that enable an information-driven work environment to enhance productivity and capability of the workforce Oversee and support solutions that ensure security, availability, and risk management Manage programs and projects as necessary to ensure timely and successful delivery Research and recommend investment, development, installation, and use of technology improvements Advocate effectively for the needs of the software development team Promote department-wide initiatives related to system availability and resiliency Promote company-wide core values such as diverse hiring practices Help Project teams to be able to guide in terms of DevOps Connect with Teams to help right implementation of Scrum and Agile development methodologies Decode the technical requirements and add them to the backlog via the product owner Assisting and advising the project team on key technical decisions Work Experience: 12 to 15 years of IT work experience including 2 to 3 years experience managing team(s) responsible for application development and support Required Skills: Strong technical background on Dot Net and SQL and exposure to Azure Experience on process automation (preferably using UiPath) will be a plus Exposure to DevOps processes and tooling Exposure to data integration between connected systems with strong ETL and Reporting knowledge Ability to provide vision, direction in terms of coding, application architecture, development framework etc. Experience with diverse application development practices, including both waterfall and agile methodologies Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking Educational Qualification: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field Or equivalent work experience
