Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to head our AI and Data Science teams based in Pune, India. The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative AI and data-driven solutions while fostering growth and excellence in our practice. This role requires a visionary leader who can bridge technical expertise with strategic execution to drive meaningful impact across the organization.

The position is in Pune, India. Outstation candidates will be considered if they are willing to relocate to Pune within 90 days of the offer. Alternatively, they must commit to traveling to Pune for at least two days a week during this transition period.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI Product and Solution Design

  • Lead the incubation of cutting-edge AI and Data Science products to enhance revenue streams and customer experiences.
  • Provide expert guidance on functional and technical design decisions.
  • Evaluate and recommend models, tech stacks, and integration patterns for optimal performance and scalability.

2. Program Delivery and Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI and Data Science programs.
  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and planning while ensuring smooth day-to-day execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Establish and manage effective relationships with outsourcing partners.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

3. Employee Engagement

  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Launch initiatives to boost employee morale, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions to address challenges and foster continuous improvement.

4. Talent Acquisition and Development

  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top-tier talent, including managing internship programs.
  • Develop and implement talent management strategies to ensure a robust talent pipeline.
  • Initiate upskilling programs and leadership development initiatives.

5. Performance Management

  • Work with functional leaders to establish clear performance goals and expectations for teams and individuals.
  • Monitor and assess team performance, providing actionable feedback and guidance.
  • Address performance challenges promptly and constructively.

6. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison for AI and Data Science programs delivered from Pune.
  • Foster alignment and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the Pune Development Center in strategic meetings and corporate events.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Experience

  • 10+ years of program delivery experience within the technology industry or a technology function in another sector.
  • Proven track record of leadership in technology services delivery.
  • Understanding of Data Science and Business Analytics operations.
  • Familiarity with design thinking principles, cloud infrastructure, and generative AI technologies.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate large, diverse teams.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition and workforce development.
  • Strategic problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
