Nursing Night Supervisor

• The Nursing Night Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing nursing operations during the night shift
• They will provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care
• The Nursing Night Supervisor will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals, handle emergencies, and ensure a safe and efficient night shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing activities during the night shift, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering teamwork and collaboration
• Assign and delegate nursing duties and responsibilities, considering the needs of patients and the skills and capabilities of the nursing team
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivery, ensuring compliance with patient care plans, protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Handle emergencies, crisis situations, and critical patient care issues, taking appropriate actions and making sound decisions
• Conduct rounds and assessments to evaluate patient conditions, address concerns, and ensure patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to provide comprehensive patient care
• Act as a resource and provide guidance to nursing staff, assisting with complex patient cases, procedures, and medication administration
• Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development of nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of patient care, incidents, and nursing activities

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) is preferred
• Valid nursing license and current CPR certification
• Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
• In-depth knowledge of nursing principles, standards of care, and regulatory requirements
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to assess and respond to patient needs effectively
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a nursing team
• Ability to handle emergencies and make critical decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and nursing documentation systems
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
