Job Title: Manager - Business Finance (FP&A)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical FP&A Manager to support our Sales team in a fast-paced digital media organization. This role will be responsible for tracking and managing sales expenses, ensuring smooth quarter-end closes, overseeing sales bonus payments, and providing actionable revenue insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), with expertise in sales finance, forecasting, data-driven revenue optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Finance & Expense Management:
- Partner with the Sales team to track, analyze, and manage expenses, ensuring alignment with budget and financial goal.
- Develop and maintain expense forecasting models, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising growth.
- Ensure financial discipline by implementing controls and reporting frameworks monitor sales-related costs.
Quarter-End Close & Reporting:
- Work closely with Accounting to support quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and expense allocation.
- Prepare financial reports and variance analyses to provide insights on sale performance, profitability, and budget adherence.
- Develop and present quarterly business reviews with key financial takeaways for leadership and senior executives.
Sales Bonus & Incentive Compensation:
- Manage the calculation and processing of sales commissions, bonuses, and incentive payments, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Partner with HR and Sales leadership to design, refine, and optimize sales incentie structures that align with revenue goals.
- Continuously assess sales compensation effectiveness and recommend adjustments to drive performance.
Revenue Insights & Opportunity Identification:
- Analyze sales data and revenue trends to identify growth opportunities and areas for optimization.
- Develop and maintain forecasting and scenario models to evaluate revenue impact from pricing changes, new product launches, or market shifts.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to track performance of key revenue-driving initiatives and provide strategic recommendations.
- Present data-driven insights that help Sales leadership make informed decisions to drive revenue growth.
Strategic FP&A & Business Support:
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for sales-related revenue and expenses.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives to drive operational efficiency and revenue growth.
- Build and improve financial models and dashboards to enhance visibility into sal performance and trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in FP&A, sales finance, or revenue strategy, preferably in digital media, advertising, or a related industry.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience working with sales teams, tracking expenses, and managing commission structures.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial planning tools (Adaptive, Anaplan, Hyperion), and systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear actionable insights.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, HR, and senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights non-finance stakeholder.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA plus).
