Job Description
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues within the hospital.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of IT systems and hospital management software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems reported by hospital staff.
- Assist in setting up and configuring computers, networks, and hospital devices.
- Support and maintain hospital data security protocols and backup systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement IT solutions that improve patient care and hospital workflow.
- Monitor and update hospital software and systems regularly.
- Assist in training staff on the use of hospital IT systems and software.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for system updates, repairs, and upgrades.
- Maintain records of IT assets, support requests, and system issues.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hospital management systems (HMS) and healthcare IT systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and techniques.
- Knowledge of database management and basic coding/programming.
- Experience with system administration, server management, and network security.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare IT compliance standards.
