Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Design and Development:

• Develop 2D and 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Design mechanical systems for custom automation machinery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with electrical, software, and control system requirements.

2. Project Execution:

• Assist in the development of automation systems from concept to commissioning.
• Support project timelines, milestones, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component selection and procurement.

3. Innovation and Optimization:

• Improve existing designs to enhance system efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Integrate Industry 4.0 principles and IoT technologies into design projects.
• Provide innovative solutions for areas like robotics, automatic storage and retrieval systems, and LED packaging equipment.

4. Collaboration and Support:

• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and propose tailored automation solutions.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
• Contribute to training and development for junior team members.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Educational Background:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

2. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant software.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, automation, and control technologies.
• Knowledge of machine design is a significant advantage.

3. Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

4. Additional Requirements:

• Prior experience in machine design or automation industries will be considered a value addition.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client interactions and site visits.
