Maintenance Manager

Role & responsibilities:

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance and reliability of all plant machinery, tools, and infrastructure. This role maximizes equipment uptime, maintains safety standards, and implements effective preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Hydraulic and Mechanical press machines, metal forming equipment, automated fabrication technologies, Surface preparation and painting technologies, and assembly sections.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Operations:
1. Plan and execute maintenance schedules for fabrication machinery, including CNC cutting, bending, punching, and welding equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
3. Supervise repairs of auxiliary systems such as conveyors, cranes, and ventilation systems.
2. Preventive, Predictive & Condition Based Maintenance:
1. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
2. Monitor critical equipment performance through data analysis and condition monitoring.
3. Ensure timely calibration and servicing of all precision equipment.
3. Team Leadership:
1. Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
2. Ensure sufficient manpower coverage during all shifts and support high-demand periods.
3. Conduct regular training to enhance team skills, especially on new technologies and safety protocols.
4. Equipment and Asset Management:
1. Maintain detailed records of equipment history, repairs, and maintenance activities.
2. Ensure the availability of critical spares for all key machinery.
3. Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for upgrades, troubleshooting, and procurement of machinery and parts.
5. Safety and Compliance:
1. Enforce compliance with safety regulations and internal protocols.
2. Conduct routine safety audits of equipment and facilities.
3. Implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and breakdowns.
6. Budget and Cost Optimization:
1. Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, focusing on cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
2. Identify opportunities for energy savings and equipment optimization.
7. Continuous Improvement:
1. Drive process improvements by analyzing the root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions.
2. Collaborate with production and quality teams to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
3. Introduce innovative maintenance practices such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Preferred candidate profile

The candidate must have proven work experience of overall plant maintenance activities on Sheet Metal, Heavy Machinery, Power Presses and Weld shop. Must be willing to relocate to Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh.
