Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled ETL/Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in migrating and modernizing ETL processes from IBM DataStage to Informatica PowerCenter.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of data engineers, senior developers, and architects to facilitate accurate, eKicient data migration, integration, and transformation as part of a large-scale data modernization initiative.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in ETL development, a strong understanding of data integration best practices, and familiarity with both DataStage and Informatica platforms.

Responsibilities :

- ETL Job Conversion : Convert medium-to-complex ETL jobs from IBM DataStage to Informatica PowerCenter, ensuring all transformations, lookups, and data flows are accurately and consistently migrated.

- Data Mapping and Transformation : Develop, test, and optimize ETL mappings to handle data from multiple sources and targets, while ensuring data quality and adherence to business rules.

- Metadata Management : Utilize metadata and parameterized configurations to manage job dependencies and support dynamic ETL workflows.

- Testing and Validation : Conduct unit and integration testing to validate migrated jobs, ensuring performance and accuracy meet or exceed expectations.

- Performance Optimization : Identify opportunities to optimize ETL job performance, reduce runtime, and improve processing eKiciency across the data pipeline.

- Collaboration : Work closely with architects, senior developers, and database administrators to align ETL jobs with target Oracle Exadata environments.

- Documentation : Develop comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, mappings, and job configurations to support the data modernization initiative.

Qualifications :

Experience : 3-5 years of experience in ETL/data engineering, with hands-on experience in IBM DataStage and Informatica PowerCenter.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in ETL tools, specifically DataStage and Informatica PowerCenter.

- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, especially Oracle (Oracle Exadata experience is a plus).

- Knowledge of data integration techniques, including data transformation, cleansing, and managing complex lookups.

- Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze and re-engineer complex ETL processes to fit new tools, performance standards, and data quality goals.

- Attention to Detail : High attention to data accuracy and consistency, with a solid understanding of data quality best practices.

- Communication Skills : Skilled in documenting ETL processes and eKectively communicating with both technical and business stakeholders.
