Solar Project Manager - Energy Sector (3-5 yrs)

- They have their head office in Bhandup, Mumbai, and a manufacturing unit in Bhiwandi, Mumbai.

Position Overview:

- We seek an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead and manage solar energy projects from conception through completion.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering, and solar technologies, with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for solar projects.

- Oversee project activities to ensure milestones are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met.

Team Leadership:

- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to achieve project goals.

- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address challenges.

Stakeholder Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance and Permitting:

- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Prepare and submit the necessary documentation for liaisoning.

Risk Management:

- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.

- Monitor and report on project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Financial Management:

- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial reporting.

- Track project expenditures and prepare financial reports for senior management.

Performance Monitoring:

- Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and industry benchmarks.

- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management in the solar or energy sector.

- Strong understanding of solar technologies, systems design, and project development processes.

- Proven experience in managing solar projects, from initial planning through to commissioning.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Proficiency in project design and management software and tools (e.g., SketchUp, PV Syst, Auto CAD, etc).

- Willingness to travel as required for project oversight and client meetings
