Job Description

As an Information Security Intern, you will assist our team in implementing and managing security measures to protect our organizations computer systems, networks, and data. This role provides hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of information security.

Requirements

As an Information Security Intern , you will:

Assist in developing and implementing security measures to protect the organizations computer systems, networks, and data.
Support security audits and risk assessments by gathering and analyzing data.
Conduct network, servers, and application scanning and vulnerability analysis under supervision.
Monitor SIEM or equivalent tool and report incidents and events
Assist in configuring and troubleshooting security infrastructure devices.
Help in preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols.
Participate in incident response activities and post-incident analyses.
Learn and apply security best practices and industry standards.
Assist in researching and recommending new security technologies.
Collaborates with users to discuss computer data access needs, identify security threats and violations, and identify and recommend needed programming or process changes.
Help in implementing DevSecOps and reviewing application security
Safeguards system security and improves overall server and network efficiency by training users and promoting security awareness.
Determines when to update virus protection systems by monitoring current reports of computer viruses; facilitates or performs needed updates.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
