Job Description

Position: India Sales Head

Location: Delhi NCR

About Role: The IT Sales Head will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring profitability. This role demands a dynamic leader with extensive experience in sales management, a deep understanding of the IT industry, and the ability to drive business growth while maintaining P&L accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.

- Identify market opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape specific to the IT industry.

- Create detailed sales forecasts and action plans to achieve targets.

- Develop strategies for increasing market share and expanding into new markets.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team across multiple geographic regions.

- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's performance and capabilities.

- Ensure that sales team members follow up with potential customers and build quality relationships. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the IT sector.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

- Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and long- term partnerships.

Collaboration and Coordination:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment and collaboration in driving overall business objectives.

- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, to offer comprehensive customer support and ensure seamless service delivery.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.

- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

Market and Product Knowledge:

- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.

- Develop a deep understanding of the company's IT products and services.

- Educate and inform the sales team and clients about new products, enhancements, and industry trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

- Proven track record of at least 15+ years of relevant IT sales experience preferably from TTLH domain, with a focus on enterprise solutions and services.

- Strong leadership skills with at least 3-5 years of experience managing and leading a high-performing sales team, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.

- A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and go-to-market plans.- In-depth understanding of the IT industry, including emerging technologies, market trends, and customer needs.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and negotiate at all levels within an organization.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.

- Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive sales performance and achieve revenue targets.
