IT Engineer - Automation

Job Description:

• Role Overview: Design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of backend systems and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and create test plans.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and report on test automation results and metrics.
• Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in test automation.
  • Proven experience in backend testing and API testing.

Skills Needed for Backend Testing:

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of database testing and SQL.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Analytical Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential issues.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
