IT Engineer - Appian

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Appian Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications using the Appian BPM (Business Process Management) platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in Appian 20.x+ versions, process automation, integrations, and a strong understanding of software development best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Appian applications to enhance business workflows.
• Create and manage Appian objects, including Records, Reports, Interfaces, Process Models, and Web APIs.
• Implement Appian best practices, including performance tuning and security.
• Integrate Appian applications with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain SAIL interfaces, expressions, and decision rules to improve user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Appian applications.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Stay updated with new Appian features and best practices to optimize system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience as an Appian Developer.
• Proficiency in Appian BPM (20.x or later), including SAIL, Process Models, and Web APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Appian plug-ins, CDTs (Custom Data Types), and Records.
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
• Understanding of Java, JavaScript, or other programming languages for custom Appian components.
• Experience with Appian integrations using RESTful/SOAP services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Good understanding of business process modeling and automation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Appian Certified Developer (Preferred but not required).
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps in an Appian environment.
• Familiarity with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and AI-driven automation tools.
