Job Purpose:

The CNC VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Utility Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machines, specifically Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), and related utility systems. This role ensures that the machinery and associated systems operate at optimal performance, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergencies, minimizing downtime.

1. CNC VMC Machine Maintenance:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC VMC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues related to the CNC machines.
• Calibrate and adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct inspections and repairs on spindle motors, ball screws, drives, and other machine components.

1. Utility System Management:
• Maintain and troubleshoot utility systems (e.g., compressed air, coolant systems, electrical supply, Air Compressor, Lubrication System, Chiller/Temperature Control System, Coolant System, Compressed Air System, HVAC, HTP, ETP and hydraulic systems)
• Identify and resolve utility-related failures affecting machine uptime.

1. Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety standards and operational guidelines for CNC machinery, utility systems and implement of LOTO.
• Ensure that all maintenance procedures comply with company policies and industry standards.
• Work closely with the safety team to address potential hazards and risks related to equipment and machinery.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• B.E or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics

• Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance of CNC machinery, preferably VMC machines.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing CNC control systems, mechanical components, and utility systems.
• Familiarity with machine tools, hydraulic systems, and electrical control systems.

• Skills:
• Strong :- understanding of CNC VMC machine operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge :- of PLC systems, electrical wiring diagrams, and Maintenance CNC, VMC.
• Ability :- to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, or CNC, VMC, SPM, HVAC, UTILITY
