Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-press Manager to oversee
the pre-press operations for our wide format single pass digital printing machine. The
Pre-press Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all pre-press activities are
completed efficiently and accurately to meet production deadlines and quality
standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the pre-press workflow, including file preparation, colour
management, and proofing, to ensure that jobs are completed accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement best practices for
pre-press operations to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Maintain and update pre-press equipment and software to ensure optimal
performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the pre-press process to
minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Train and supervise pre-press staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge
required to perform their duties effectively.
- Stay current with industry trends and technology to identify opportunities for process
improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, printing technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in pre-press operations, preferably in a wide format
digital printing environment.
- Proficiency with pre-press software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, and RIP software.
- Experience using spectrophotometer for colour management.
- Strong knowledge of colour management principles and practices.
- Fluency in English language.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
