NSX Resident Engineer (3-10 yrs)

SALARY : 11LPA - 20LPA

Job Description :

- Assistance in creating logical switches, NSX edges and DLR to scale up environment for business needs.

- Help to provide a L1/L2 Level Troubleshooting and liaise with VMware Technical Support team for any support requirements

- Help in performing daily operational activities in NSX & vRNI

- Help on board applications on vRNI.

- Help creating the micro segmentation rules and security groups in NSX-T based on the requirements.

- Help in Importing users and assigning roles for NSX

- Help to perform NSX patch management covering bug fixing, security fixing and predictive analysis.

- Providing support in NSX upgrade of existing Deployments.

- Help to perform maintenance activities for virtual networking environment during scheduled window (backup, export virtual network configuration etc.)

- Assist to backup/restore checks on regular basis/as defined by customer.

- Assist in submission of weekly reports in standardized format, capturing assigned tasks, status, GSS Open/Closed issues till date

- Help in performing quarterly remediation in NSX environment leveraging the recommendations provided by the TAM.

- Support on the documentation of the existing NSX for vSphere setup.

- Help perform configuration change as per business needs and customer change control process.

- Help in creating SOPs.

Qualification :

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT industry at VMware NSX Design/Implementation Projects.

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in industry leading load balancer, security products and Micro segmentation (Mandatory)

- Should have solid hands-on experience in VMware Avi and NSX-T.

- Hands on installation and configuration experience with Base NSX-V & NSX-T Components, VTEP's, Load Balancer, LB Rules, Security components, etc.

- Strong understanding of and experience in TCP/IP, DNS, Http, SSL, DHCP.

- Proficiency in vSphere products and technologies like HA, vMotion, Tag, DRS, and Update Manager, Administration, etc would be a plus.

- Exposure to enterprise class architecture or implementation with suite of VMware products including vCenter, vSphere, SAN, RAID, Clustering, Consolidation, Load Balancing, etc.

- Troubleshooting and Debugging of VMware Architecture related issues.

- Strong understanding of Linux/Windows servers.

- Good to have some knowledge in vRA/vRO.

- Good to have Any Automation Experience with PowerShell/Python/Bash/Ansible and basic knowledge of VMware APIs.

- Good to have some knowledge of Kubernetes and Dockers.
