Job Description
- Manage the strategically important vertical of Operational Resilience for Group Operations, covering the diverse geographies and functions, ensuring a consistent and sustained approach.
- The AVP will manage and align BIAs with interdependencies between technology, business units, and support functions, ensuring comprehensive resilience planning.
- Act as the focal point for discussions with the second line (Operational Risk Management and BCP teams), the AVP will guide and ensure consistent directives and guidelines across all Operations units.
- The AVP will front end the third-party disruption scenarios and recovery plans, aligning Operations units with TPRM guidelines.
- In-depth understanding of GRC frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements within the banking industry.
- Knowledge of operational functions such as Payments, Trade Finance, Cards, Treasury, Retail, Corporate Investment Banking, Compliance, and Insurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management influencing abilities.
- Project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
- Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of technology for automation.
- Post-graduate with 12+ years of diversified experience in Banking sector, including internal control, risk management, or audit roles.
- Proven track record of leading GRC initiatives and driving process improvements. Experience in collaborating across multiple lines of defense and fostering a culture of risk awareness.
- Support the planning, execution, and reporting of GRC reviews across various operational units.
- Identify and communicate risks, issues, and areas of concern effectively in GRC reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address identified risks and implement remediation measures.
- Extract relevant insights from audit reports and drive structured action plans within Group Operations.
- Ensure timely and effective implementation of audit recommendations.
- Proactively manage the understanding of: Risk Control Self-Assessment, BCP requirements within Group Operations.
- Work closely with stakeholders to address operational needs and identify key processes.
- Support the analysis of BIAs
- Implement proactive measures to mitigate emerging risks and enhance control frameworks.
