AM/DM Vehicle inspection function

Educational Qualification:

BE/B Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.

Work experience:

• : Should have 3 ~ 5 years of relevant experience post qualification.

Nature of experience:

• Standards. Understanding and conversion of Engineering Drawings / Inspection standards into Process Standards for Inspectors. Knowledge about vehicle driving and testing. Assessing new vehicles in trials, giving feedback, and ensuring closure of issues. Knowledge about vehicle inspection equipment.
• Knowledge about ISO and Quality Systems
• Japanese practices 5S, 3G, 3K, 3R, Hortense etc.

Knowledge about regulations. Line quality handling and problem analysis.

• Nature of work: Vehicle Inspection after Assembly Stage, Conformity of Products
• Equipment accuracy, reliability, and calibration checks
• Digitalization, fool proofing and automation of inspection processes
• Root cause analysis for defects
• Use of Data analytics
• Experience of Organizing Senior Management reviews and Coordination for feedback implementation in all Divisional areas

Industry preference: Automobile Industry

Key responsibilities:

• Procedure and Process Standardization
• Audits in Vehicle Inspection shops
• Management of mass production vehicle quality inspection to ensure zero defects at customer.
• Development (Inspection & Evaluation) of new model vehicles
• New Model development, testing and inspection process standardization.
• Cost Reduction

Ability to train new inspectors for Capability Improvement & skill development.

Competency:

• Functional knowledge of passenger cars and inspection standards
• In depth knowledge of applicable regulations
• Good understanding of Inspection standards and conversion to Process standards
• Analysis and root cause identification of Quality issues
• Knowledge about line balancing and work management.
• Practical application of Quality Control Tools, including theoretical background of SPC, Analytical tools and Six sigma, Auto-CAD
• Clear & Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in lean, multi-tasking environment and lead team independently.
• Process and product Audit skills.

Good IPR skill

Other Requirements:

• Computer environment proficiency is essential for proper Documentation, presentation, and its data retrieval. (MS office)
• Knowledge about procurement systems
• Japanese Language Knowledge
