Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead specializing in ETL Testing with a passion for quality assurance leadership. As the QA Lead, you will be responsible for managing and leading the Quality Engineering and Assurance (QEA) team in delivering high-quality software and data products within the Databricks environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the testing strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage the complete testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Leadership & Team Management : Lead and manage the QEA team to ensure the quality and reliability of software and data products.

- Test Strategy & Planning : Develop, implement, and oversee testing strategies and test plans for Databricks' products.

- Data Pipeline Expertise : Apply strong knowledge of Azure Databricks and its native services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage) to build efficient data pipelines.

- Quality Process Improvement : Continuously assess and improve the QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Test Automation : Drive the automation of testing, including the development and maintenance of test scripts and frameworks.

- Testing Lifecycle : Oversee the full testing lifecycle including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.

- Release Management : Collaborate with development and product management teams to ensure software releases meet quality standards and deadlines.

- Quality Metrics : Establish key quality metrics to measure and track product quality, ensuring high standards are maintained.

- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with development, data engineering, and data science teams to integrate quality at all stages of product development.

- Security & Compliance : Ensure that products meet all security and compliance standards, and perform necessary security testing.

- Problem Resolution : Lead the resolution of software defects, ensuring timely fixes and minimal impact.

- Documentation : Maintain thorough documentation on testing processes, test cases, and results.

Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

- Experience : 8-10 years in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, and ETL Testing with a proven leadership record.

Expertise :

- Extensive experience with ETL Testing, data processing, and analytics platforms (preferably with Databricks).

- Strong knowledge of test automation tools, QA best practices, and software testing methodologies.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure Cloud.

- Experience working with big data technologies and data governance standards.

- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Knowledge of security, compliance, and data privacy standards is a plus.
