Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Draughtsman with expertise in bulk material handling systems. The candidate must have a strong command over 2D drafting and be skilled in preparing GA drawings, plant layouts, and detailed fabrication/shop floor drawings. The role involves working on multiple projects, coordinating with customers, vendors, and manufacturing teams, and conducting site visits across India when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D General Arrangement (GA) drawings, plant layouts, and detailed fabrication/shop floor drawings.
• Work on the design drafting of belt conveyors, shuttle conveyors, travelling trippers, sidewall conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, discharge and diverter gates, chutes, and crushing & screening equipment.
• Ensure precise detailing for fabrication and shop floor drawings and coordinate with manufacturing teams and vendors.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
• Collaborate with design engineers and customers to finalize drawings as per project requirements.
• Conduct site visits across India for customer meetings, site surveys, and project coordination.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum educational qualification: 12th pass ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Certified 2D AutoCAD course from a reputed institute (mandatory). Knowledge of 3D software such as SolidWorks will be added advantage.
• 5-7 years of experience in bulk material handling systems preferably in Steel and Mining and minerals industries.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
• Prior experience in preparing detailed GA drawings, plant layouts, and fabrication drawings of conveyor systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel across India for site visits and client meetings.

• Experience in material handling equipment design.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, vendors, and shop floor teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes is an advantage.
