Associate Manager (Materials)

• Required for the Sourcing of Thermal coal and having experience in the similar field.
• Engineering stream, experience in SAP, Excellence in the MS Office, Writing Skill, Knowledge of the commodity with previous experience of Steel Industry will be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive coal procurement strategy aligned with company needs and market trends.
• Coordinate all aspects of inbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate order fulfillment.
• Participation in e-Auction related to all Coal related material through MCL / CCL / MSTC, MJunction etc.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation throughout the supply chain process, including purchase orders and MIS
• Track inventory levels and identify potential stockouts to maintain efficient operations.
• Coordinate with multiple internal verticals like Logistics, Finance, Quality for assigned projects for transportation,
• inventory management, Quality Control and Reconciliations.
• Research and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy within the supply chain.
• Monitor coal market trends, prices, and regulations to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations related to supply chain management and documentation.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on coal procurement activities and market trends.
• Travel to different Mines and Supplier locations for better coordination

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in coal procurement within the Indian energy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the Indian coal market, pricing structures, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost optimization.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAP GUI, and ARIBA
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent travel flexibility within India.
