Job Description
- Ensure that the organization complies with data privacy laws (DPDP, IT Act) and other relevant regulations governing data privacy.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to safeguard the privacy of personal data.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments to identify potential risks, recommend and drive implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as legal, IT, and security, to ensure alignment on data privacy initiatives.
- Train and educate employees on data privacy practices and raise awareness within the organization.
- Manage data subject access requests, including responding to inquiries and facilitating data deletion requests.
- Monitor and investigate potential data breaches and mitigate risks and impacts.
- Discover and maintain an inventory of personal data and ensure that it is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure that they comply with contractual obligations related to data privacy.
- Participate in data privacy audits, assessments, and certifications to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
