Management Trainee in Concept Development For Lifestyle Products

Position Summary:
As a Management Trainee in Concept Development for Lifestyle Products, you will be instrumental in shaping innovative and trend-forward product lines. This role provides a comprehensive training experience, blending creative ideation with business strategy to prepare you for a leadership position in product development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to research market trends, brainstorm new concepts, and bring ideas to life, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences and brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

Concept Ideation & Development:

• Assist in brainstorming and developing innovative concepts for lifestyle products across categories (e.g., home décor, fashion accessories, wellness items).
• Create concept presentations, including mood boards, sketches, and prototypes, to illustrate ideas.
• Research and suggest materials, finishes, and technologies for product innovation.
• Support the translation of creative ideas into practical, scalable product designs.

Market Research & Trend Analysis:

• Monitor global lifestyle trends, consumer behavior, and cultural influences to identify opportunities for new product categories.
• Analyze competitors and benchmark products to refine concept strategies.
• Stay updated on sustainable practices and integrate eco-friendly ideas into product concepts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work with design, marketing, and production teams to ensure concept feasibility and market relevance.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials that align with product vision.
• Contribute to the creation of marketing collateral by providing product insights and storytelling elements.

Training & Development:

• Participate in structured learning programs to build skills in product design, business strategy,
  and market analysis.
• Shadow senior professionals to gain insights into end-to-end product development processes.
• Regularly present ideas and progress to mentors for constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Business Management, Marketing, or related fields.

Skills:

• Strong creative and critical thinking abilities.
• Knowledge of design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, or other design software) is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks.

Experience:

Prior internship or experience in lifestyle product development, design, or marketing is a plus.
