- Migration of MS SQL DB to PostgreSQL
- Coordinate with DevOps team and IT team for management of all the databases
- Managing the Azure managed Postgresql database and develop SOP.
- Database Management - Create and maintain PostgreSQL database objects, such as triggers, indexes, and views.
- Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure smooth operations.
- Implement regular backups and disaster recovery plans.
- Schedule server maintenance, manage tablespaces, and develop automation tools for data loading.
Skills required
- A solid foundation in SQL, including PostgreSQL, is crucial. Understand writing queries, table relationships, and data manipulation.
- In-depth understanding of data management practices, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
