Job Title: Senior Executive / Assistant Manager E-commerce Merchandising

Location: Mumbai, Andheri MIDC

Timings: Monday to Saturday 9 Hours


Department: E-commerce
Reports to: E-commerce Manager / Head of E-commerce

As part of our growing e-commerce operations, we are looking to hire a passionate and skilled professional for the role of Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – E-commerce Merchandising to help expand and optimize our online presence.


Job Summary:
As a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager in E-commerce Merchandising, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing the digital merchandising strategies for our e-commerce platforms. You will collaborate with the marketing, design, and product teams to ensure a seamless online shopping experience, drive sales growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


Product Listing & Content Management:

    • Manage and oversee the end-to-end product listing process on the e-commerce platforms, ensuring all products are well-described, categorized, and accurately priced.
    • Ensure high-quality imagery and rich product descriptions that meet brand standards.
    • Implement strategies to optimize product presentation for enhanced customer engagement and conversion.
  1. E-commerce Strategy & Optimization:
    • Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize online sales and profitability.
    • Conduct competitor analysis to stay updated on trends and best practices in e-commerce merchandising.
    • Monitor website performance metrics and recommend changes to improve conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  2. Inventory & Stock Management:
    • Coordinate with the inventory and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, timely stock updates, and accurate product data on the website.
    • Work with the merchandising team to ensure promotions, discounts, and offers are displayed effectively and are aligned with inventory availability.
  3. Customer Insights & Trends:
    • Leverage customer feedback, sales data, and browsing behavior to inform merchandising decisions.
    • Stay current with industry trends and consumer preferences to curate relevant and engaging product assortments.
    • Implement A/B testing and other strategies to refine product placement and improve user experience.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, design, and customer support teams to ensure consistency in messaging and deliver a unified brand experience online.
    • Coordinate with the digital marketing team to ensure timely and effective product promotions, campaigns, and launches.
  5. Reporting & Analysis:
    • Regularly track and report on e-commerce performance, product sales trends, and merchandising KPIs.
    • Use data-driven insights to continuously optimize merchandising efforts, making recommendations for new initiatives or product selections.
  6. Market Trends & Competitive Analysis:
    • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging e-commerce innovations to adapt and improve merchandising tactics.
    • Keep up with the latest technology tools and digital trends to ensure Malabar Gold & Diamonds remains a leader in online retail.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, retail, or digital marketing.

  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, online merchandising strategies, and digital marketing.
    • Proficiency in product content management systems (CMS), online merchandising tools, and Google Analytics.
    • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and project management skills.
    • Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven mindset.
    • Good understanding of customer journey and user experience (UX) design.
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices and online sales optimization techniques.
  • Preferred: Experience in the jewelry or fashion industry.
