Mep Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible to plan and manage cost estimations for all the MEP projects at Malabar Gold & Diamonds.
• Design & develop MEP drawings so that projects have the required specifications for smooth execution.
• Spearhead MEP maintenance work for all showrooms, SCMs and factories.
• Analyse Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering problems across projects and formulate appropriate solutions.
• Improve BOQ preparation methods by providing inputs based on commercial, contractual, and technical expertise.
• Approve BOQs prepared by team that cover all specifications and cost elements.
• Conduct periodic site visits for MGD projects to oversee MEP activities and resolve any challenges, across all regions.
• In conjunction with Lead - planning, ensure that the filing/logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with MGDs policies and continually monitor the same.
• Advise the Head - Projects on any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress.
• lEvaluate cost efficiency and outsource MEP activities when possible across all regions.
• Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of the site works with regards to MEP services and report to the Head - Projects on the same
• Plan, organize the review and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others to ensure seamless execution of the projects
• Develop strategic relationships with vendors (labour and material) for smooth project transactions.
