Job Title: Indian Equity Strategist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Indian Equity Strategist to join our Institutional Equity Research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for closely tracking the Indian macroeconomic environment, developing equity strategies for Institutional clients, and generating investment ideas. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep market knowledge, and the ability to generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a key strategist for institutional clients by tracking Indian equity markets and macroeconomic trends.

- Suggest and develop investment strategies based on market conditions and client needs.

- Generate investment ideas and thematic research notes, incorporating both top-down and bottom-up equity analysis.

- Conduct sector rotation analysis and build model portfolios for the Indian market.

- Prepare thematic/sector notes, marketing presentations, research material, and earnings reports for institutional strategy discussions.

- Collaborate with sector analysts to integrate fundamental and technical research insights into strategy recommendations.

- Monitor and interpret key economic indicators, central bank policies, and geopolitical events impacting equity markets.

- Engage with institutional clients, addressing queries and providing thought leadership on equity strategy.

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

- 2-5 years of experience in equity strategy, macro research, or investment analysis, preferably in an institutional research setting.

- Strong understanding of Indian equity markets, macroeconomics, and financial modeling.

- Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.

- Strong writing and presentation skills to create impactful research reports.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.

- Demonstrated ability to interact with institutional clients and present investment strategies effectively.
