Job Description
What you will be doing -
- Works with Onshore Tech Leads to ensure that assigned work is completed efficiently, meets business requirements, stays within scope, and is delivered on time
- Plays a key role in resolving technical roadblocks involving mainframe technologies.
- Responsible for building new / enhance mainframe Cobol programs / JCLs, use mainframe utilizes tools to complete the tasks,
- Run mainframe batch jobs, monitor and trouble shoot any roadblocks with the batch processes in collaboration with the onshore project leads
- Continually improve quality of the deliverables
- Ensures code reviews, unit testing and integration testing is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Assisting in the identification, isolation, resolution and communication of problems within the production environment
What you bring -
- Minimum of 6 + years of experience with Mainframe technologies - Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2 & Mainframe utilities & tools
- Experience with working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodology
- Experience with Linux / shell scripts / regular expressions are preferred
- Experience working with BFSI project is preferred
Skills -

Qualifications -
- A bachelor s degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Competencies
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent communicator - ability to discuss technical & business requirements with Clients and Internal teams based at onshore & India locations
- Attention to detail - track record of authoring high quality documentation.
- Organized approach - manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
- Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team.
