Physical Design Engineer - Floor Planning

Notice Period : Immediate to 90 days

Responsibilities :

- Physical Design Expertise : Demonstrate a deep understanding of industry standards and practices in Physical Design, including Physical-aware synthesis, Floor-planning, and Place & Route.

- Power and Clock Distribution : Have experience in developing and implementing Power-grid and Clock specifications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Physical Construction : Possess a strong understanding of all aspects of Physical construction, Integration, and Physical Verification.

- Design Collaboration : Be able to collaborate effectively with the logic design team, leveraging knowledge of basic SoC Architecture and HDL languages like Verilog to address timing fixes.

- EDA Tool Proficiency : Be a power user of industry-standard Physical Design & Synthesis tools.

- Scripting Skills : Have a deep understanding of scripting languages such as Perl/Tcl.

- Verification Expertise : Be proficient in Extraction and STA methodology and tools.

- Physical Verification : Understand the Physical Design Verification methodology and be able to debug LVS/DRC issues at the chip/block level.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- 4-10 years of experience in physical design for digital ICs.

- Proven track record of successful physical design projects, including complex SoC designs.

- In-depth knowledge of physical design methodologies and tools.

- Experience with power grid and clock network design.

- Strong understanding of physical verification concepts and tools.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Tcl).

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

About the Role :

As a Physical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the physical implementation of our digital IC designs. You will be responsible for all phases of physical design, from RTL to GDSII delivery. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing design for performance, power, and area, while ensuring manufacturability and meeting stringent design requirements.
