Executive Production

Summary of Responsibilities

BIW assembly production operators play a crucial role in executing welding operations, ensuring high-quality production, and maintaining stringent safety standards. BIW assembly production operators achieve desired goals in production intended shifts along with day-to day activities & key driver in shop floor production activity. The BIW assembly production operator must possess skills of part production. The BIW assembly production operator must demonstrate a positive, can be done attitude and work towards continual improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Attain productivity and quality goals for the respective cells or station.
• Achieving targeted OEE & JPH for the Cell or station.
• Supporting Line leader to achieve KPIs like:
• OEE Improvement.
• Zero Accidents/ Incidents.
• Zero Customer complaints.
• Scrap% reduction.
• Conducting daily checks like:
• Shift startup check sheet/ Safety checks,
• Parameter recording/ Red rabbit test report.
• First piece inspection report,
• Daily 5-S check sheet,
• Hourly production reports,
• Down time logs/ Break down slip,

Taking corrective and preventive actions under guideline of Line leader for improvements.

• Maintain and ensure Assembly quality as per customer requirement by carrying out First piece Inspection, carbon test and sampling inspection. Identify and correct welding defects, ensuring a high standard of workmanship.
• If any deviation found, then participate in root cause analysis and taking necessary corrective actions under guideline of Line leader.
• Ensuring all processes run as per SOS & JES.
• Help with changeovers on robotic weld cells, Resistance welding cells and related equipment.
• Carry out Basic robot trouble shooting, HMI trouble shooting, wire stuck, wire drums change, spot weld tips change and keep equipment running.
• PDI, Quality Assurance, QRE feedback concern resolution with proper root cause and actions plans.
• Control of Non-Conforming product:
• Quarantine Control (Red bin/ Yellow bin)
• Rework method (Daily rework clearance)
• Rework verification (Approval from QA)
• Ensuring 100% PPE adherence, LOTO and Safety procedures on station. Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
• Ensuring implementation of TMW and lean principle like 5-S, TPM, Kanban, etc.
• Updation of Hourly Production monitoring board, visual management & DWM boards.
• Promotion of suggestion/ Kaizen by involvement of all.
• Participate in Continual Improvement activities.
• Organize, maintain, and promote a safe work environment.
• Adhere to customer requirement, Business Operating System and company policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma with 1-3 years of Automotive experience preferably in BIW Weld shop.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Welding techniques/processes.
• Able to detect weld defects and determine weld acceptability.
• Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact.
• Able to work flexible hours (Shift working).
