Head QA QC

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Head QA/QC to lead and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) across our diversified business functions, with a primary focus on real estate and construction quality. This role involves developing the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Compliance Framework, ensuring alignment with industry standards, and strategically working with senior leadership to standardize and enhance quality practices.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in construction quality, process optimization, documentation, and office functional quality while preparing the company for future certifications such as ISO and other industry-relevant accreditations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Strategy & Policy Development:

• Develop and implement the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System (QMS) for the company.
• Align quality initiatives with business strategy and work closely with the VP and senior leadership to drive a culture of quality.
• Establish quality control and assurance guidelines across real estate, ready mix, malls, and resorts.

2. Construction & Site Quality Assurance:

• Define and implement construction quality processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and quality checks across real estate projects to ensure adherence to engineering specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee material testing, procurement quality checks, and contractor evaluations to maintain consistency in construction quality.

3. Process & Documentation Compliance:

• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation frameworks for construction and corporate functions.
• Establish and monitor quality control benchmarks, ensuring alignment with ISO and other relevant standards.
• Implement digital quality management systems (QMS) to track performance and compliance.

4. Functional & Office Quality Management:

• Drive quality governance across corporate functions, including procurement, project management, finance, HR, and customer service.
• Implement a Total Quality Management (TQM) approach to improve efficiency and reduce process defects across departments.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices in office operations, customer service, and vendor management.

5. Certification & Compliance Management:

• Lead the company’s initiatives to obtain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001certifications as required.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to local and global construction quality standards.
• Train teams on quality awareness and process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, etc.).

6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Lead a QA/QC team and collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams to maintain quality standards.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with corporate offices and on-site teams to ensure consistency in quality execution.
• Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory meetings, and certification processes.

Key Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or Construction Technology.
• Certifications in ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Management, TQM, or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in QA/QC, Quality Management, or Project Quality within the real estate and construction industry.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing Quality Policies, SOPs, and QMS frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) quality checks, and site quality audits.
• Experience in office and functional quality management across diversified industries is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in construction quality standards (NBC, IS Codes etc.).
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TQM, etc.).
• Excellent skills in documentation, audit processes, and compliance management.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to drive certification processes and regulatory compliance.
