Job Description
- Instruction in Painting Techniques: Teach students a variety of painting techniques, such as oil painting, watercolor, acrylics, tempera, gouache, and more, depending on the teacher's expertise
- Art History: Provide an understanding of art history and the evolution of painting styles, showcasing the works of famous artists and movements
- Color Theory: Explain color theory and how to use colors effectively in painting, including mixing, shading, and complementary color principles
- Brushwork: Instruct students on different brushwork techniques, strokes, and methods for creating different textures and effects
- Composition: Teach the principles of composition, including the arrangement of elements, balance, focal points, and the use of negative space
- Still Life, Portraiture, and Landscape: Offer guidance on painting various subjects, such as still life objects, portraits, and landscapes
- Creativity and Expression: Encourage students to express their creativity and individual style through their paintings, allowing them to develop a unique artistic identity
