Job Description
- Instruction in Calligraphy Styles: Teach students various calligraphic styles, which can include Copperplate, Spencerian, Italic, Gothic, Uncial, and more, depending on the teacher's expertise
- Technique Development: Instruct students in fundamental calligraphy techniques, including pen control, hand positioning, ink flow, and stroke formation
- Script Analysis: Help students understand the historical and cultural context of different calligraphic scripts, including their origins and evolution
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarize students with calligraphy tools such as nibs, pens, ink, paper, and other writing instruments, and instruct them on proper usage and maintenance
- Letter and Word Formation: Guide students in forming letters, words, and phrases using their chosen calligraphic style with an emphasis on consistency and precision
- Project-Based Learning: Assign and supervise calligraphy projects, which may include creating greeting cards, invitations, quotes, and other decorative pieces
- Creativity and Expression: Encourage students to express their creativity and individual style through their calligraphy work, allowing them to develop a unique artistic identity
