L1 Linux Engineer

We are seeking an L1 Linux Engineer to monitor and maintain the stability of our production environment. The candidate will be responsible for tracking system performance, responding to alerts, troubleshooting basic issues, and escalating incidents to the appropriate teams.

Job Responsibilities:

System & Infrastructure Monitoring:

• Monitor production Linux servers/Network Devices using Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring tools.
• Respond to alerts, logs, and performance issues in real time.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on servers, services, and network connectivity.
• Ensure uptime and availability of critical services.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting for system failures, CPU/memory spikes, disk utilization, and network issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation.
• Follow predefined SOPs(Standard Operating Procedures) for issue resolution.

System Administration.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Linux OS (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian).
• Basic experience with shell scripting (Bash).
• Understanding of system performance metrics and log analysis.
• Familiarity with remote access tools (SSH, scp, rsync).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, netstat, telnet).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in 24x7 shifts (rotational shifts).
• Good communication skills to coordinate with different teams.
• Ability to follow SOPs and escalate issues appropriately and proper shift Handover.

Education:
