Job Title: Civil Manager

Job Location: Pipavav, Gujrat

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Civil Manager with proven engineering maintenance experience to join our team at Pipavav Port. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all civil engineering maintenance activities, including facility repair work, jetty repairs, road and railway maintenance, and dredging work supervision. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional project management skills, close coordination with all stakeholders and a thorough understanding of port infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 -12 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in a port or maritime environment.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Repair and Maintenance:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise repair and maintenance activities for port facilities, including buildings, warehouses, and administrative offices.
• Ensure timely, innovative, cost effective and efficient resolution of any structural issues or damage.

Jetty Repairs:

• Oversee and manage jetty repair projects, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of jetties to identify and address maintenance needs.

Road and Railway Maintenance:

• Supervise the maintenance and repair of port roads and railway systems.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth and safe transportation within the port.

Building Repairs (Colony/Offices/Medical centre and warehouse/fertilizer shed):

• Coordinate and oversee repair and maintenance activities for residential buildings and infrastructure within the port colony.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards for residential structures.

Dredging Works Supervision:

• Manage and supervise dredging activities to ensure navigational safety and operational efficiency.
• Work with contractors and stakeholders to plan and execute dredging projects effectively.

Project Management:

• Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for all civil engineering maintenance activities.
• Monitor progress, manage resources, and ensure all maintenance projects are completed on time and within budget.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all civil engineering activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors and technicians.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and present reports on project status, budgets, and other key metrics to senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of all civil engineering activities and projects.
