Electrical Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join our team, focusing on Solar PV projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering with specific experience in installing, and commissioning utility scale land mounted solar photovoltaic systems. This role will involve working closely with project managers, design teams, and on-site contractors to ensure the successful delivery of solar energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to Comprehend Design and Engineering:

- Understand electrical designs for solar PV systems, including single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and interconnection details.

Project Execution:

- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components for solar PV projects, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cabling.

- Coordinate with the design team to resolve any technical issues during the execution phase.

- Monitor and inspect electrical work on-site to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.

Testing and Commissioning:

- Lead the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring all components function as designed.

- Prepare detailed reports on testing and commissioning activities, including any discrepancies and corrective actions taken.

Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure all electrical works comply with national and local regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals.

- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all electrical designs, installation records, and test results.

Project Management Support:

- Assist in the preparation of project schedules, and resource mobilization plans related to electrical works.

- Provide technical support and guidance to on-site teams and subcontractors.
