Sr Manager Purchase

Role Description:

Key person of Central Purchase Team based in HO leading a team of Strategic sourcing, Operational procurement Buyers & Purchase Planning for Domestic plants in multiple locations in India as well as leading the Global Procurement for Export projects across the globe.

Job Profile:

• Manage the Procurement of RM (Primary Built-up Plates, Hot Rolled Sections, Secodary- G.I. & Sheeting), BO Material, Capital Purchase and Indirect Purchase and various Job-work activities.
• Devise appropriate Sourcing Strategies for various project procurement requirements.
• Float RFQ/inquiries to existing as well potential new suppliers, following and receiving the techno-commercial offers (competitive quotes) and preparing a comparative statement to close the sourcing at the best landed cost basis.
• Preparation and Tracking of the purchase orders and Purchase Contracts.
• Follow up with Vendors for timely Delivery/ Shortage/Rejection.
• Resolve Supply, Quality, and Invoicing issues with vendors.
• Co-ordinate with cross functional teams and manage day to day supplier related execution issues at shopfloor.
• Coordinating with the Accounts department for timely payment to the vendor.
• New Vendor Development-Develop alternative vendors for the existing items as part of Supply Chain Derisking and Cost Reduction.
• Lead Value Engineering and Cost Reduction Initiatives across all locations.
• Purchase Project Management & Planning
• Ensure Timely Sourcing and Procurement of material as per the project requirement in terms of approved make, standard and quality to achieve business deliverables of supply of goods to the end client.
• Provide Timely Inputs from Purchase for various requirements.
• Represent Purchase in various Internal Project Reviews and Cross-functional Meetings and forums.
• Lead Bi-Monthly Material Planning & Ordering from Purchase.
• Lead Pre-Sales Purchase Activities
• Ensure Timely Inputs in terms of Supplier offers for multiple BO material as well as RM to Sales team for various ongoing pre-sales tender enquiries.
• Manage Fabrication Outsourcing through Outside Vendor Partners across India as well as Phenix In-house sub-contractors
• Lead Global Procurement for US and other locations for various BO Material
• Manage Container Procurement for Export Requirements
• Manage Indirect & Service Procurement
• Various Service requirements across functions-HR, Admin, Safety, Sales & Marketing, Quality, etc.
• Manage the Approved Vendor List for Phenix Construction Technologies.
• Monitor Supplier Performance and Purchase Compliance.
• Participate in Various Internal as well as External Audits.
• Manage Vendor Relationship and Monitor Supplier Performance.
• Lead Periodic Supplier Business Review Meetings for Key Suppliers.
• Do Various Supplier Visit as and when required.
• Manage Logistics Procurement for all Phenix Locations.
