Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with accounting software, and an understanding of financial processes to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in the preparation of the company's budget and forecasts. Ensure that financial records comply with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
2. Accounting Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner. Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts. Monitor and manage petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
3. Tax and Compliance: Prepare tax returns, including VAT/GST, income tax, and other relevant filings. Assist with the annual audit process by preparing required documentation and supporting auditors.
4. Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in calculations for salaries, bonuses, deductions, and taxes. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws.
5. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems.
6. Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis to support business decision-making. Prepare variance analysis and explanations for discrepancies in financial results.
7. General Accounting Duties: Maintain and update accounting records, including journal entries and other transaction records. Ensure that all documents and transactions are properly filed and archived for future reference. Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience:
• More than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
