Currently we have an Opening for DevOps Engineer/Linux Admin (Linux + Salt)

Experience: 6+yrs

Location: Remote

Notice Period- Priority for people with less than 30 days of NP.

Project Description:
We have an ambitious goal to migrate a big legacy Retail Platform based on the Oracle ATG framework and Informix Database to Spring Boot microservices for a big retail company.

This team primarily builds applications for Customer/Profile, Login, and the API Gateway. The team supports the following: GraphQL as the API gateway between clients (Web and Mobile) and data service layer (Platform, Loyalty Integration), session management, customer profile, registration flows, registration emails, Platform API Gateway, login, APIM, customer shopping list, Third Party management, subscriptions, chatbot.

Responsibilities:
1. Provision and maintain Linux VMs with IaC tools.

2. Develop, deploy, and optimize IaC scripts

Mandatory Skills:

• Infrastructure As Code (IAC)
• Linux
• OSS (Operating Support Systems)
• SaltStack

Mandatory Skills Description:
Subject Matter Expertise in Linux and a Range of Open Source Technologies (OSS) (5 years experience):

* Deep understanding of Linux system administration and operation.

* Experience with various OSS technologies such as Nginx, Tomcat, ElasticSearch, etc.

* Experience in Developing, Testing, Deploying, and Optimizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

IaС (3 years experience):

* Proficiency with other IaC tools (Salt, Ansible, Puppet)

* Ability to write and maintain code for infrastructure automation.

Contribution to Establishing and Maintaining a Secure and Well-Managed Compute Environment (4 years experience):

* Understanding of security principles and management of compute resources.

* Experience with methods for ensuring system and data security.

Experience with Linux Virtual Machines (3 years experience):

* Ability to configure, administer, and troubleshoot virtual machines.

* Experience with various technologies running on these virtual machines.

Communication Skills and Self-Starter Attitude:

* Excellent communication skills, especially for remote work.

* Ability to work independently, manage own time, and solve problems without constant supervision.
