DXC - Python Developer (4-8 yrs)

The Python Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing scripts and applications related to AWS, Bash scripting, GitHub, and Python. The role requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms and version control systems. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while working independently and effectively managing multiple deliverables.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts and applications using Bash and Python.

- Work extensively with AWS or Microsoft Azure to manage cloud-based solutions.

- Utilize version control systems like GitHub and BitBucket for source code management.

- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, identifying root causes and providing actionable solutions.

- Engage with technical project teams, clarify requirements, and ensure seamless collaboration.

- Communicate effectively with IT architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

- Identify and call out issues, blockers, and process inefficiencies, working to improve workflows.

- Ensure compliance with best practices and security standards in software development.

- Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making within the team.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4+ years of experience in software development.

- Strong proficiency in Bash scripting and Python programming.

- Hands-on experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Microsoft Azure.

- Familiarity with GitHub, BitBucket, and other version control systems.

- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize scripts and applications effectively.

- Experience in working with enterprise-level IT infrastructure.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple project deliverables efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have) :

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and scripting.

- Experience working in Agile methodologies.
