Job Description
- Responsibilities:We are looking for a Lead Test Automation Engineer who can:
- Manage and mentor a global team of test automation engineers
- Inspire and guide a team towards achieving their goals
- Create and document Test Automation approach/ strategy
- Gain stakeholder/s buy-in from global teams including architecture, engineering and support teams
- Implement and package technical reusable solutions into test environment
- Develop & Support the PODS across the stream to implement the reusable utilities/ framework
- Assume more responsibility, including deep troubleshooting technical skills and translating the requirements into common, reusable utilities, root cause analysis results, remediation actions, etc. - Mandatory Skills Description:• 10+ years of relevant experience, with a focus on leading and managing teams
• Proven experience in creating and implementing testing strategies, particularly for complex systems
• Strong background in the banking domain, with a deep understanding of its unique requirements and challenges
• Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques for web/desktop applications, data integration middleware, API solutions, and Cloud solutions
• Hands-on experience developing Java-based test automation tools/frameworks
• Proficient in working with test automation for API testing, using tools such as SOAP UI, Rest Assured, and Karate
• Good scripting skills: Autosys, Python, Unix Shell
• Working knowledge of any cloud provider (Azure preferred)
• Experience in implementing automated tests and contributing to release and iteration planning; developing working practices of the team
• Strong knowledge of messaging services: TIBCO, MQ, etc.
• Familiarity with queue management and processing past data
• Experience in mocking trade data and integrating with external mock services
• Knowledge and experience working with code repositories and CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jenkins, and GitLab
• Proven experience managing and mentoring a global team of test automation engineers
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving their goals
- Nice-to-Have Skills Description:• Applied solutions to cater for non-functional requirements including - stability, manageability, scalability, capacity and performance
•. Banking / Investment Banking domain experience
• Demonstrated ability to create and drive the testing strategy for large-scale projects
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
• Experience in creating and maintaining documentation related to testing strategies, frameworks, and processes
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding of the testing approach
• Proactive in staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in test automation and quality assurance
