Job Overview:
Provide technical services and assistance including trouble-shooting, performance monitoring and optimization for petrochemical units.
- Provide post start-up technical services and assistance including trouble-shooting, performance monitoring and optimization.
- Primary contact for Lifecycle Service requests from technology licensee customers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our customers to support their facilities throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Visit customer sites worldwide to assess petrochemical plant performance and recommend improvements.
- Record, compile, and analyze operating and design data to evaluate performance and diagnose issues.
- Survey customers to benchmark performance and practices.
- Provide feedback for improvement in design and procedures based on field experience.
- Answer operating and production questions after start-up/test run.
- Investigate process and operations issues with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in small engineering studies with multi-office project execution.
- Participate in design reviews with technology teams.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and training courses for customers, including the creation and maintenance of Best Practices and Troubleshooting Guides.
- Document all technical service activity, including recording of technical service tickets, tracking of man-hour usage, and capture of knowledge gained.
- Education: B.S. in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in plant operations in Petrochemical or Refining technologies.
- Strong written and communication skills
- Must be able to problem-solve, take initiative, be proactive in completing work assignments and work independently
- Ability to interact successfully with internal and external clients in all areas of expertise
- Ability to make technical presentations
- International and domestic travel required
