Job Description
- General Description includes mechanical design and analysis of an assigned scope of work in a Lummus Heat Transfer project including specific complex deliverables such as pressure parts drawings, General arrangement drawings of Heater including Air preheater systems.
- Knowledge about API 560, heater refractory drawings, tube support drawings, steel drawings & steel connections.
- Take-off bill of materials for pressure parts, steels & refractories.
- Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines & effective management change. Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, quality & budget control.
- Work includes, among other things, conceptual studies of heater & its parts, Platform plan layouts etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of project team when required.
- The candidate will also be involved in communication with overseas offices in multi-office project execution.
- High School+ Certificates or diploma with some college required in mechanical drafting/ design. 2-10 years of experience with fired heaters and associated systems.
- Proficient in current engineering design and drafting and software packages.
- Typically has the experience in design 3D modeling (preferable with Tekla 3D modelling), drafting and design.
