Job Description
- Ability to capture and specify the design requirements.
- Placing 2D furniture in the CAD for cross checking sizes in the layout and Site.
- Analyze and prepare shop drawings for all types of furniture as per the client requirement.
- Interact with the client for the design changes if required
- Preparing standard bill of materials (BOM) for each project wise or for only required products.
- Preparing detailed production drawings for each project as per the client final approved drawings and make the relevant supporting 2D line drawings for each product to cut the production timeline.
- Produce design ideas, based on research, into technical plans for prototypes using Relevant tool
- Analyses the design proposals and the technical information in order to identify the issues arising during product development, defining and implementing adequate solutions in order to reach a feasible proposal with a high form and aesthetic quality
- Make design changes on existing products and track design changes
- Keep up with current and developing engineering trends
- Support technical staff and/or junior engineers
- Achieve goals within budget (For NPD New product design)
- Knowledge on Solid works designs ( part design, Assembly, sheet meal, Weldments & Surface design Etc..) & Autocad 2D & 3D Modeling
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong creative and visualization skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- A creative, logical approach for generating new ideas and solutions, with the ability to transition through to part development
- A Grasp of engineering and design principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, providing input and feedback in a helpful manner
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical engineering (prefer) or a related field (Other departments also applicable)
- Hands on experience in Solidworks software & AutoCAD for minimum 1 year.
- Experience in BOM (Bill of Material)
