A Day in the Life of Senior Software Developer

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic development team working on our industry leading device management and provisioning solutions. Your will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable high-performance solutions for automation.

So, how are we going to keep you busy?

• Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Active participation in QA for the release cycle.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Work closely with developers and QA teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Debug and troubleshoot automation scripts to ensure stability and reliability of test executions.
• Enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency, scalability, and reporting.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize test execution in cloud and containerized environments.
• Drive test automation strategy and advocate best practices in automation testing.
• Utilize Git for version control and ensure smooth collaboration in a multi-developer environment.
• Use Maven for build automation, dependency management, and project structuring.

What will make you eligible for this role?

• Bachelors or masters in computer science/ computer engineering/ software engineering.
• 7+ years of professional experience with a focus on Automation and QA.

What will make you the best-fit for this role?

• Strong proficiency in Java, capable of developing an automation framework from scratch.
• Experience in designing scalable and maintainable test automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience in writing feature files and step definitions.
• Strong understanding of BDD principles and Gherkin syntax.
• Experience in automating REST APIs using RestAssured.
• Ability to validate API responses, headers, status codes, and authentication mechanisms.
• Selenium WebDriver : Expertise in identifying locators (XPath, CSS, etc.) and handling dynamic elements.
• Strong debugging skills and ability to handle synchronization issues effectively.
• Strong understanding of Git for source code management (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Experience in branching, merging, pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
• Good knowledge of Maven for project dependency management and build automation.
• Experience in writing and managing pom.xml files.
• Working knowledge of tools like Postman, RestClient, Insomnia for manual API testing.
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands and working in shell environments for test execution and debugging.

Experience, that will be an advantage:

• Basic understanding of container orchestration and K8s architecture.
• Hands-on experience in working with Docker containers for test execution.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.) and pipeline scripting for automation.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Gradle is a plus.
• Experience building applications with machine learning libraries is a plus.
