SR Network Consultant

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Network Support Engineer to join our dynamic technical operations team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing critical network infrastructure while providing expert-level support for complex networking challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical support across three support tiers, independently resolving 75% of incidents
• Collaborate with Tier 4 teams on proactive infrastructure improvements and problem management
• Manage and execute client change requests within defined service level objectives
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues across multiple vendor platforms
• Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge base resources
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for complex problem resolution
• Perform hardware maintenance and replacement coordination
• Ensure thorough case management and status updates to stakeholders

Technical Requirements

• Deep expertise in enterprise networking technologies, including:
• Cisco and Juniper switching and routing platforms
• F5 BIG-IP load balancers
• Check Point and Cisco ASA security appliances
• TCP/IP, Layer 2/3 protocols
• BGP, OSPF routing protocols
• Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, SSL)
• Load balancing architectures
• DNS services
• Proficiency with network analysis tools like Wireshark
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
• Experience with ticket management systems
• Proven incident management skills within SLA parameters

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with F5 BIG-IP iRules development
• Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and A10 load balancers
• Familiarity with ACI/SDN technologies
• Understanding of DDoS mitigation and cloud services
• ITIL certification
• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in high-availability data center environments
